EXPERIENCING SPACE – THE POETIC JOURNEY STRUCTURE

IN GROUPS OF EIGHT (8) STUDENTS, THE TASK IS TO ROMANTICIZE A RAINFOREST AND TRANSLATE IT INTO AN INTRIGUING NARRATIVE THAT WILL THEN BE TRANSFORMED IT INTO TWO (2) INDIVIDUAL STANDALONE POETIC JOURNEY STRUCTURE. STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COME UP WITH ONE NARRATIVE WHICH WILL THEN TRANSFORM ONE AS A CONCENTRIC JOURNEY STRUCTURE AND ONE AS A LINEAR JOURNEY STRUCTURE, HENCE THE TWO (2) POETIC JOURNEY STRUCTURE.

THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

AS THE MODEL WAS QUITE COMPLICATED, IT MADE ME COME UP WITH VARIOUS EASY SOLUTIONS TO BUILD IT. BESIDES, AS THIS PROJECT FOCUSES ON THE USERS' EXPERIENCE, IT LET US BRAINSTORM ON HOW TO TRANSLATE FEELINGS INTO SPACES.

AS THIS IS A GROUP PROJECT, COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY TO MAKE THINGS WORK. IT TRAINED MY EQ AS I MANAGED TO COMMUNICATE POLITELY EVEN WHEN THINGS WEREN'T TURNING OUR WAY AT FIRST.
